Lincoln Rock State Park, Wenatchee
When school gets out we love to head for the heat and sun in Wenatchee. Lincoln Rock State Park is a lush oasis surrounded by brown and dry rolling hills in the sun! The lower loop has no hookups but some sites have docks nearby. It is right on Lake Entiat, which is the dammed up Columbia River, soooo.....it is cold water!

Pacific Beach State Park
Since we have a motorhome, we have discovered Pacific Beach and LOVE it! It is right on the ocean beach, with not a lot of privacy. We can come here to dig razor clams and play on the beach. We can also walk a couple blocks into a small cute town for anything we have forgotten or to a nice coffee shop with wifi. Campfires ONLY on the beach!
Salt Creek
One of our favorite places to camp. We like to watch for good weather in the summer and go mid-week. Some sites are now reservable, but only in person or by snail mail! We like to just grab and open site from the non-reservable. Best tide pools and beach, views of the Straits of Juan de Fuca to Vancouver Island. Lots of bunkers, and barges and cruise ships going by. Raccoons come out in campsites at night and will steal any food they can get. Otters and whales too!
